Emily Reidenouer, Community Engagement Leader

My husband Jon and I live in Dilworth in Charlotte with our sweet and sassy shelter kitty Nora.  We love spending time with our family and friends, watching sports, exploring the outdoors and giving back to our community.  I grew up in Charlotte and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  I’ve been working in the financial services industry for 23 years and became a financial advisor in 2009.  I enjoy working with my clients and their families to help them realize and reach their investment and financial planning goals. When I’m not in the office, you can likely find me in the company of family and friends, on the tennis courts, practicing yoga or hanging with Aramis whom Jon and I sponsor.

Farming and horsemanship are passions that run deep in my family.  I spent my summers on our family farm in Iowa surrounded by cornfields, horses, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, ducks and wide open spaces.  As you can imagine, Bit of Hope is my happy place where I can truly let my inner kid roam free.

I rode hunter jumpers competitively through high school until a debilitating crash at a show severed my relationship with horses.  However, that deep affection never left my heart and I feel so fortunate to have rediscovered that love and connection at Bit of Hope AND literally get back on the horse (endless thanks to Mindy!).  Beyond my riding accident, I have endured other traumas along my journey – some teeny and some quite tremendous.  I have personally experienced and witnessed the healing and restoration that God makes possible at Bit of Hope and cannot wait to contribute more to the herd and team as we walk into this new season together.
