The farm is home to more than 20 other smaller animals. The barn cats are usually the first to greet our guests and immediately welcome them as they come into the barn. The farm dogs are two rescued yellow lab mixes that faithfully protect the chickens and hand out wet kisses. The small animal farm houses goats, pigs, rabbits and chickens. These are used in the therapy programs as well as for field trips. They are important as their size is not as intimidating as the larger horses, but they still require quiet hands and gentle touches. We network with Gaston County Animal Control and assist in adopting and rehoming animals that are not adoptable. Your donation makes sure we can provide these animals a home…and a job!
